SHANNON — Mark and Fiona are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their son, Adam Gordon, on 26th February. A little brother for Finlay and second grandson for Gordon, Aileen, Stewart and Liz.
SIMPSON — Adam and Kirsty (Nee McIntyre) are delighted to announce the birth of their daughter Callie Beth at Cresswell Maternity on Saturday 17th February, 2018. First grandchild for Peter and Shona and Ian and Kate.
ALEXANDER — Peacefully at Galloway Community Hospital, Stranraer on Tuesday 6th March, 2018, William (Futle) Alexander, aged 86 years of 3 Bridge of Aldouran, Leswalt. Beloved husband of the late Sarah (Sadie) dearly loved father of William, Sandra, Frank and Evelyn, father in law and much loved grandfather and great grandfather of all the family. Funeral on Friday,16th March, 2018. Service in Leswalt Church at 12.00.noon. Thereafter interment at Leswalt cemetery. All friends respectfully invited, family flowers only please, donations if desired in aid of Galloway Community Hospital, Stranraer and Cancer Research on retiral from church.
BURNS — Peacefully at home on Tuesday 13th March, 2018, William (Billy) Bums, aged 82 years, of Shiralee, London Road, Stranraer, beloved husband of June Shaw, dearly loved father of Shirley, Patricia and Stephen, much loved granda and great granda of all the family. HICKEY, LILLIAS — On 4th March 2018, peacefully after a short illness, at Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary, in her 93rd year, Lillias Waugh Hickey (Lily), of The Granary, Dumfries, formerly of Lochmaben. Beloved wife of the late Sq.Ld. James Joseph Hickey, a very much loved aunt, step-mother and step-grandmother. Family and close friends will be most welcome to attend the service at Roucan Loch Crematorium on Tuesday, 20th March at 12.00 noon to give thanks for Lily's life. Family flowers only please.
STRANG — Peacefully at home on Monday 12th March, 2018 Sheina Barclay Barr, aged 91 years, of 1 Brookfield Avenue, Stranraer, beloved wife of the late John Strang, dearly loved mother of Alistair, John, Isobel and Mary a much loved granny and great granny who will be missed by all. Funeral on Friday 23rd March, 2018. Service in Roucan Loch Crematorium by Dumfries at 12.00.noon. All friends respectfully invited, followed by a memorial service in Stranraer at a later date to be arranged.
